(Updated) iTunes DRM Free Music Now a Reality

Today, Apple has released iTunes version 7.2 which includes the iTunes Plus feature. The iTunes Plus feature is the DRM free tracks from participating labels (currently only EMI). The DRM free tracks cost 30 cents more ($1.29) and are encoded at a higher bit rate (256 vs 128). Continue reading

Update: Banshee Patch

I just got an email from the lead developer on the Banshee project that my patch would not be used because it was a duplicate and it did not follow the previously discussed layout/options. Yes, I am little upset that my patch did not get accepted, however the bug that I was pointed to was merged in only 10 minutes later, so I at least got the feature I wanted out of the deal. Songs & Such: "Third World Think Tank" by Five Iron Frenzy

The song is both entertaining and humorous and tells us a story, though of what is only on Reese’s mind. The story is told to get us to the middle of the song which in my opinion is the whole point of the song.
