Securing Your Digital World: Anti-Phishing Tools & Techniques
We spent the last few weeks going over password security. I showed you how to create secure passwords and how to keep track of them. Now that you have a secure password, it is incredibly difficult for someone to hack that password. That is true unless, of course, you give them your password willingly. This kind of thing can easily happen with a technique called “Phishing” which according to wikipedia is “a process by which a phisher attempts to fraudulently acquire sensitive information such as usernames and passwords.” Continue reading

Canceled My eMusic Subscription
I just canceled eMusic subscription in favor of Amazon’s Mp3 Download Store. The main reason for this is because with Amazon I can download only the songs I want without having to pay a monthly fee for a bucket of downloads that I have to use or lose. Plus Amazon’s store is also free of digital rights management (DRM) so they will work on any computer or device in my house. Continue reading

Last week, Amazon opened its MP3 Download Store. With over two million tracks averaging out at 89 cents a track, it is an impressive entry into the market of music downloads.
