Slacking

I figure it might be good to note on the definite slacking that has occurred on my part as of late.  So I am publicly admitting to not giving the required attention to this website lately.  There are two main reasons for this:

  1. I’m busy.  As much as I would love to make this website my top priority, I have to admit that I am not pulling enough from it to pay the bills in any shape form or fashion.  I have a day job that does that at the moment and it has been requiring much of my weekday time.  So much in fact that I have not even had the 30 or so minutes I would take a day (random 5-10 minute breaks) to look at potential article ideas.  Since that job pays the bills its tasks take priority.
  2. Slight burn out.  I have been going non-stop for about 6 months now, and I can say that it has somewhat affected my home life to a small degree.  I am not okay with that so I slowed down a little.

I have every intention of keeping up with this blog, but my personal/family life will always come first.  But hopefully there will consistently be new articles for you folks to read.

I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew I was fully aware of my slacking and that I am working to do less of that slacking.

Have a great week!

Jumping to Vista Goes Missing

I had to delete my “Jumping to Vista” post which I had hoped would be the start of a new technology series to last the next 4-5 weeks or so. However, after fighting with Windows Vista all weekend and on Monday to get it to be stable, I was unsuccessful.

My main issue was with an Nvidia display driver that was causing my computer to blue screen quite regularly. I’m pretty sure that this was an issue with the combination of Nvidia and Vista because my computer is completely stable on Windows XP.

So I will just need to find something else to write about. I like the idea of a series because it allows for 1) consistent posts and 2) people have the ability to learn from the posts. I’m not sure what I will write about next for the weekly technology articles, but there will be something here by this time next week.
