Windows Vista Round 2

My new motherboard for my new dual core processor came in on Thursday, since I have installed it Windows XP refused to even boot.  I figured that combined with the report that nVidia fixed their graphics drivers for Vista, that reinstalling Vista instead of XP might be the way to go.

So far everything seems ok but even with this new version of Windows installed, I find myself missing Linux.  I think I am going to continue to utilize Linux as my main OS, but keep Vista installed so I have a Windows partition to boot into from time to time.

I will keep you informed if there are any issues in Vista for Round 2.

Songs & Such: My Friend (So Long) by dc Talk

With Christian music, there are those bands that are just kind of there and riding a wave, then there are those that set the trends that others follow (or at least bring the trend mainstream). That is exactly what dc Talk did with their Jesus Freak album. While other Christian musicians were rocking out like Nirvana and Stone Temple Pilots long before dc Talk, it was dc Talk that made it alright for Christians to rock out in the mainstream. After Jesus Freak, dc Talk recorded a follow up that was entirely different from anything they had done before. Leaving the rap/hip-hop sound behind completely and acquiring a pop gleam, Supernatural was released to much fan fare. So much fan fare, that Billboard held a poll on “How Does a Band’s Religion Affect Your Purchases” during the album’s week of release.

The first single off that album was entitled “My Friend (So Long)” and revolved around the idea of a fictitious fourth member of dc Talk that had left the band and found success in the secular music industry. While the fourth band member was indeed fictitious, debates went on for a couple of years on who the fourth member could have been. This alone earns the song a spot in my Songs & Such. Power of Information

The Power of Information is a radio show that I co-host with my friend Derek Alfonso. Together we discuss the latest technology happenings, how to save money, and we even talk about the latest games. You might have seen the weekly posts on what the weekly topics covered in the show are and might be wondering about what the show is exactly. I know that I have a page on the Power of Information, but I figured a nice article centered on the subject can help bring more people to understand exactly what it is and why we do it. Going Back to Old Look

I am reverting back to the old look and feel that I had previously.  The main reason for this is a sudden drop in visits that I feel is a direct result of the theme I had switched to. I want to see what kind of affect I get when I switch back.

Sorry if you are confused.
