Digital Consumer Enablement
This idea is not only silly but absolutely idiotic. The idea of naming something that directly disables a consumers use of a product as an “enablement” is absurd. Beside, changing the name is not going to accomplish anything. People are still going to hate it, they are going to speak against it, and they are going to find ways around it. When Will the Recording Industry Get It?
The recording industry seems to want to be paid for every use of a song and in some cases such fees are okay. However, when it comes to web radio, they are forcing people to pay to promote their product. There is no other market that follows this method of practice. Everywhere else the company pays to have people advertise for them. But the recording industry wants to be paid by people promoting their music. This does not make sense and I can not understand how artists can approve of such practices. Continue reading

Do Personal Blogs Matter
The free exchange of ideas, opinions, and rants is one of the things that makes the internet so great. I am able to read the opinions of others, comment on those opinions, or even write my own rebuttal. The exchange of ideas is how problems get identified, discussed and eventually (as well as hopefully) solved. I believe that the personal blog as just as much importance in the blogsphere as those niche blogs. While niche blogs can help you understand something and maybe even teach you something, personal blogs can do that and more. Continue reading

I do not agree with the content produced by most shock jocks. This is certainly not limited to Imus, O&A, or even Mr. Stern. I find most of the content degrading and not to mention rude. However, I also believe in something that most people forget when they attack and get people like the shock jocks suspended or fired, that belief is in something called “freedom of speech” and not “freedom of speech as long as I approve” which seems to be the meaning it is taking these days.
