This evening I decided that I would start spending some time working on my programming skills and since I have the Banshee source code checked out on my computer, I went ahead and started playing around in it.

The end result?  I got to submit a patch to the Banshee Bugzilla.  My patch adds a feature to Banshee’s notification icon plugin.  Using my patch a user can now rate a song from the notification icon without having to open Banshee and rate the song inside the application.  You can see a screenshot of my work below.

I am very excited about this because I have always wanted to submit something to a project but could never figure out something that other people beside me would like to see.
