J.K. Rowling recently appeared at a charity reading where she answered some questions about the latest Harry Potter book she’s currently working on. One of the most important things noted is that Dumbledore is definately dead. And if you haven’t read the 6th book, Half-Blood Prince, then I just save you a little bit of trouble.
I find it interesting that Dumbledore is truely dead and while his portrait is hanging in the headmasters chamber, the question remains, why did he remove himself? What role will his portrait play in Book 7? And how is Harry going to deal both with the death of his mentor and knowing he has to kill Voldemort or die himself? Interesting questions, hopefully the answers are very good.
