A short little blurb about how the RIAA is allowing a family 60 days to grieve over the defendant in a case who recently passed away can be found here. After 60 days they will resume their court case against the estate of the deceased.
A PDF of the motion can be found here.
I personally make it a point to buy CDs. I’m one of those people who likes to have the physical disc. I’m probably in the minority on that these days but I can’t help it I have to have the CD for music I REALLY like and consider good.
When the RIAA pulls stuff like this it makes me greatly reconsider my stance on purchasing music. I have nothing against supporting my favorite artists but I’m totally against supporting an organization that insists on suing its customer base. It just doesn’t make sense to me. If they keep doing stuff like this I might just consider to stop buying CDs, start downloading them, and support the artists by going to their concerts and buying their other merchandise.
